After much deliberation, we were able to dine here tonight. We (2 people) can best describe *everything* as: AMAZING!! The welcome, the delicious, authentic matching Primitivo red, the food, the friendliness—in short, we felt and were truly welcome guests there, and were spoiled as such. The menu is not complicated; be sure to ask for the (Italian) wine list. We recommend Il dan Nicola to everyone. A real little piece of Italy in Besançon, France! Kudos to the kitchen and the host. Finally: the homemade Limoncello is truly amazing. We received this for free upon departure!

We hesitated as we walked past the storefront, but it would have been a shame to miss this unpretentious, family-run, and very welcoming little restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious. I highly recommend it.

A truly wonderful discovery with an absolutely lovely waiter. The pasta was delicious and beautifully presented, as was the "La Parma Blu" pizza, which I highly recommend. To finish, a panna cotta cooked for 6 hours at a low temperature – a delight! He even gave me his recipe. I highly recommend it! 👏

We came as a group of six on a Saturday. The restaurant was open because they were already hosting a group. The owners were very friendly and pleasant. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I forgot my leftover pizza, oh well! Thank you for a lovely time!

During our visit to this city for a seminar, we booked a table for 11 people and the service was perfect. The owner was friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable prices and attentive service. Thank you to the owner. We will definitely return for our next seminar!

A very warm welcome and lovely staff! The gnocchi with cream and mushrooms were delicious! The desserts (chocolate mousse and tiramisu) were excellent! Thank you to the chef for the custom-made dessert!
