The service was delightful and attentive, with expert wine knowledge and the ability to adapt to any situation. A delicious dinner, with surprising and truly well-thought-out pairings. The beef tartare with oysters was incredible! Thank you for this wonderful dinner despite the slightly long wait.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at this restaurant. From start to finish, everything was impeccable and demonstrated a true attention to detail. The premises are spotlessly clean, perfectly maintained, and meticulously cared for. Special mention goes to the restrooms, which were impeccably clean—a detail that speaks volumes about the establishment's commitment to excellence. The service is equally remarkable. The entire team is welcoming, smiling, courteous, attentive, and incredibly kind. You immediately feel at ease, and every customer is treated with professionalism and genuine warmth. Finally, the cuisine is simply excellent. The ingredients are fresh, the dishes are refined, generously portioned, and beautifully presented. Each plate is a true delight, both visually and gastronomically. A truly wonderful discovery that I recommend without hesitation. Congratulations to the entire team for the quality of their work. I will return with immense pleasure.

An absolutely remarkable experience in the heart of Besançon. The exquisite presentation is the first thing that strikes you as soon as the dish arrives at the table. Each dish is a true balance of flavors and textures, like the side of finely chopped red onions that perfectly complements the whole. It's creative and expertly prepared cuisine, served in a very pleasant setting. I will definitely return.

Our first visit to Besançon led us to discover this exceptional restaurant, offering a small menu with excellent ingredients. They also have a very nice wine list and the staff provides excellent advice on wine selection. The service and cuisine are top-notch... Go without hesitation.

Insulting the customer is part of the menu at this restaurant, Les Gamins, in Besançon. Arrival at 12:30 PM Reservation for 10 people + 1 last-minute guest. And right away, you can tell the service isn't well-prepared. We're told it's complicated, there's no more room... A simple "No problem, however, due to lack of space, I can suggest adding the person at the end of the table. Is that alright with you?" which we ourselves suggested... Anyway, it's just a minor detail. When it came time to order our aperitifs, the manager asked if we were in a hurry, and we answered YES. An excellent question on her part, which must have set the tone for what followed. Then came the aperitifs and the main course order: >>> APERITIFS: No outlandish requests, just the usual: Coke, still and sparkling water, and two beers. And then things got hectic when it came time to serve. Who ordered what? Oh dear, they're missing, they're missing some appetizers. They're going back to get them... Quite disorganized, and we're already wasting time. >>> MENU: 11 people in total, and 8 who are going to order the MENU OF THE DAY with starter/main course/dessert. Some are going to order the MENU OF THE DAY but only the main course, and another only the MAIN COURSE and DESSERT. And again, we must have been speaking another language. Things are dragging, it's taking time to understand... The EXCELLENT starters arrive fairly quickly, but for the MAIN OF THE DAY, we're served after 1:30 pm... Yes, yes, we were in a hurry... Even though the starter is focaccia and some people didn't order it, a colleague overhears the manager telling one of her employees (who was about to do it) not to serve us bread because we had focaccia as a starter... Petty, very petty attitude... 1:30 pm: The main course is EXCELLENT, very refined, in short, very good. Everything was served more or less quickly, and at 1:45 PM we asked to have our plates cleared so we could move on to dessert. I said that if we hadn't received anything by 2:00 PM, we would leave without dessert (but still pay the full bill, of course :)). 2:10 PM: Dessert arrived. Excellent, as always. 2:15 PM: Coffee arrived. 2:25 PM: I paid for all my colleagues. I asked for something specific on the total bill. They said yes, I paid, but when I looked at the bill, what I had requested wasn't listed, which ended up annoying me. I said the service had been chaotic and very slow. The manager told me, "My husband and I are doing our best." Perhaps, but we are customers. It would have been nice to hear, "I'm sorry about this (mentioning or not the cause), but I assure you that my husband and I are trying our best" – a completely different, businesslike approach. A few hours later, I was asked to leave a review, which I gave 3 out of 5 stars, summarizing it in 5 or 6 lines. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> And then came the absolute worst: a manager called me to... INSULT ME, calling me an IDIOT and a PIECE OF POINTS after my review (3 out of 5 stars), and she literally attacked me on the phone. She didn't try at any point to understand, to simply reflect on her actions, or to have a conversation. 10 minutes of conversation where I remained calm in the face of a despicable manager. THE ICING ON THE CAKE: I RECORDED EVERYTHING :) After 5 seconds of the call, I immediately sensed that the tone was inappropriate. SO I recorded everything. EVERYTHING was recorded during those 10 minutes of dealing with an insulting and dishonest manager. CONCLUSION: Avoid at all costs.

We went there for lunch one day, and it was very good and beautifully presented! The ingredients seemed simple, but they were cooked exceptionally well. The prices are attractive, and the quality is definitely there.

During our short trip through the Jura via Dijon, Les Gamins was by far our best restaurant experience. No frills, just deliciously balanced flavors with the right textures and contrasts on the plate. And an unbeatable price-to-quality offer for lunch.
